Locations requiring more than one line were supplied with several telephones. Some types: COW BELLS, LIBERTY BELLS, SLEIGH BELLS, "T" BELLS, WOOD BELLS, GLASS BELLS and several sizes of round bells. This early #2-4 dial was for very early telephones and had a finger stop on the outside of frame. During WW2 phones could not be manufactured for the public. Many #2 dials were factory converted to #4 by mounting the finger stop inside the frame so it could be used in recessed dial phones like the type 202.
These dials make a distinctive licking sound that collectors like. This telephone and ringer would please a serious collector. DOUBLE BOXED IN NEW CARTONS AND INSURED. VIEW MY MANY OTHER RESTORED TELEPHONES AND ASK QUESTIONS BY CLICKING ON THIS PAGE (SEE OTHER ITEMS).
