This is an extremely hard to find Waltham large dial marine clock made into the early 1920's. Case is 10.25 inches across the front and slightly larger across the back for easy mounting. This version has the model 12 movement with escapement running across the top movement plates. Less than 1000 of these are known as serial numbers are always in the 50, xxx range. This movement is numbered 50,006 indicating it was probably the sixth or seventh produced.
There is also a small impressed 6 on inside case back. Movement is in wonderful, running condition and includes key.
The silvered dial and blued hands are very presentable and have little wear for a hundred year old clock. The brass case has a few shiny areas making me believe that the case could have once been nickeled brass when it was new.
It should also be noted that the inside part of the screw on bezel has a few areas of spot soldering, as I suppose the glass became loose at some point in time. This will never be seen but should be mentioned for accuracy.
Overall, this is an outstanding, very heavy, and hard to find clock. Thanks so very much for looking and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
