VALVES DO NOT NEED OVERHAUL JUST ONE AIRHOLE COULD BE IMPROVED ON 2nd PISTON BUT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE. SEE LAST PHOTO AND ALL OTHER PHOTOS PROVIDED. These horns were made prior to Committee models. This one Is from late 1930s/early 40s and is still kicking but as I said above will benefit in better sound on certain notes if bell is straighten out especially bell bow. This is a pro model horn.

I was just looking for a screw for my bike wheel when I saw two cases I did not open for longer period. One was empty other had this Martin in it. I remember this horn from back in time good few years ago but was left it in a case due to the bell condition.

I wish I would fix it when my favorite repairman was still in business but that did not happen so now is your chance? There is already resoldering and front brace leg is partially not there but its holding. Soldering is messy but can be cleaned out during bell repair unless skilled repairman does not need to take the bell out. Bell flare does not appear to be even repaired has small dent there but not drastic. The most drastic is bell bow , the bell pipe is wrinkled but bell bow more affects the certain notes than the bell pipe wrinkle. So you know what you getting. Valves are very good and compression is very good as well. 2nd button is not original but not that different. All slides are coming out. Some redness on leadpipe but looks just tarnish no red rot , 3rd slide stopper is partially broken but ring is present with screw. This horn does not need much to be in full potential just really the bell needs to be improved. All valves serials match the horn, Dont miss out this great early Martin specimen perfect Jazz Horn. Trumpet comes with vintage case which matches the era of this horn. I will pack safely inside and outside of the case as I always do. Case has blue interior in good shape and good exterior , latches , handle. Its a handy case for the handy horn.
