Made from beautiful "bell metal" bronze. (a more bronze coloured metal, with a coppery tone, rather than the "yellow" brass used in later candlesticks). Excellent condition for their age with very light wear (such as you would expect to find on candlesticks over 200 years old; see photos), but no damage or repairs. Both still have their ejector rods, which are gummed up with old wax. They are fine examples of their type and they would make beautiful display pieces and be a great addition to any collection.
