This RARE wonderful piece could be the earliest and most prized piece in your collection. Miss this opportunity to have it as your own. This early stick is from an estate in untouched condition, as found.

Rare, very early low-bell, knop stemmed brass candlestick. This stick is 8" tall and 6" in diameter. Has low, hollow bell-shaped bases, flat drip pan, and simple turned stem with straight, slightly flared candle cup. This low-bell candlestick was made from the early 16th into the mid-17th centuries. The shorter, flatter knop on this stem dates it to circa 1650. The bell base and drip pan were cast as. One piece, the stem & candle socket cast as another.

The two pieces were attached by a screw-thread cast into the stem which screwed into a threaded hole cast into the. Were soldered shut--a usual repair made in these old candlesticks.

Repairs around 18th or early 19th century. More than 350 years old!

The drip pan have a bit of a wave to it, as does the base. A few dings, the stem is a little ascew from from a couple angles, but straight when turned to other angles. These are a must have for collectors of early candlesticks or any early lighting!
