When they passed away it started sitting on my top of my book case, and has been there ever since. Original key, nice sound (the strike can be silenced using a lever on the upper left face) The strike is in nautical time, where the day is divided into six, four hour watches.

Each watch contains eight bells, with one bell being added each half hour. In the way of clock history, my dad, the first clocks owner, was the engineering/clock expert associated with The Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham. Photos are him with a clock that he built and one working on the Cambridge Courthouse tower clock.
