Very rare English carved oak cathedral church design case with stunning patina and colour Church window style panels on the sides The hand carved case is of the highest quality and amazing detail all in excellent condition Glazed hinged front arched bezel and fretwork paneled hinged back door Case is in amazing original condition for age Engraved silvered arched dial Roman numerals & original hands Dial is in excellent original condition with fine engraved decoration English triple fusee musical 1/4 chiming 8 day 8 bell movement Strikes a coiled gong on the hour counting the hours Original Pendulum and a new brass winding key Movement is in full working order keeping time English made Victorian - Mid 19th century Clock measures 23 inches high x 14.75 inches wide x 9.5 inches deep. Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months. Outstanding quality cathedral designed case with stunning patina and colour to the wonderful solid oak. The hand carved decoration which is over the whole case is of the highest quality with amazing attention to detail and all in excellent condition.

On either side of the case their are wooden panels designed as gothic arched windows both in great condition. The case is made of oak which gives this absolutely stunning display finish and makes it really stand out. The clock has a very very rare design to it which i have never come across before which gives a impressive display look with superb attention to detail.

Working lock and key to the back door which has a brass fretwork panel, the gothic arched brass bezel to the front holds shut securely as the lock does not work. Case is in excellent original condition for age and looks amazing on display with a stunning patina. Silvered arched dial which has various fine engraved decoration. Engraved Roman numerals & original hands. Dial is in excellent original condition and looks great on display. English 8 day triple fusee chain driven musical chime 8 bell 1/4 chiming movement. 1/4 Chiming 8 bell musical chime every quarter of an hour with hourly gong strike on the hour after the musical chimes has finished.

Original Pendulum and a new brass winding key. Extremely high quality has can be expected. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and chiming the 1/4s as it should on 8 bells. Victorian, mid - 19th century.

The clock has beautiful proportions and measures 23 inches high x 14.75 inches wide x 9.5 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a very very rare model with its church design. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow in value and one of the best ones i have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale and you wont find one quite like this for a while. Important Please Read: ALL antique clocks after transport no matter how well they have been looked after or serviced may require setting up, adjustments and setting into beat when you receive them and i always recommend a professional or an experienced clock person to do this correctly for you.

Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems unless stated in the add as they are tested vigorously before sending. You are more than welcome to personally collect any item free of charge. All my items will be packed professionally. No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this.
