RARE Antique Brass Samuel Hammond & Co. New York Ship's Bell'' Mantle Clock
The clock is made mostly of heavy brass and solid wood. Clock comes with original key. All mechanisms appear to be working as they should and run off of just a few turns. From my research, this clock dates to the late 1800s - early 1900s. Samuel Ward Benedict & S. Hammond were luxury watch, clock, and jewelry making partners starting around 1842. Additional information can be found on a few collector's and historical sites. There is not much information about how to properly price these clocks, so any reasonable offer will be considered.
