HEAVY SOLID BRASS MONASTERY CHURCH BRASS DINNER BELL WALL HANGING PULL CHAIN VTG. Up for your consideration is this Beautiful Vintage Cast Brass Monastery Wall Hanging Bell with Pull Chain. This is a very ornate bell that can be used as a dinner bell or doorbell.

The bell is engraved with the Latin inscription: " Vocem meam audi, qui me tangit" which loosely translates to "Whoever touches me hears my voice". The back of the mounting plate reads "Made in Taiwan" and in permanent marker someone has written From Norma & Jerry Arend? After looking at other similar examples we believe this bell may be missing the angel that is suppose to be mounted on the front of the top bracket and possibly another serpent / dragon like creature on the swinging arm. The absence of these parts do not take any beauty away from this substantial bell.

Bell Itself measures 4-1/2" tall with a diameter of nearly 4" at the opening. INCLUDED: The actual Antique Cast Brass Wall Hanging Bell pictured. NOT-INCLUDED: No original box, packaging, or paperwork.

No props used for size reference. DIMENSIONS: From the top to the bottom of the bell measures about 13" tall and the chain hangs another 8" below that. The swinging bracket measures 6" wide and the bell itself measures 4-1/2" tall with a diameter of nearly 4 at the opening.

CIRCA: Likely around the 1970's give or take 10 years. CONDITION: This comes to you in overall excellent vintage condition. As mentioned we believe there may be an angel and serpent piece missing from the bracket. Aside from that there are no cracks, chips, or missing parts. It has a beautiful aged patina to it and looks lovely the way it is however you could polish to its original shiny luster if you choose to do so.
