You are looking at this beautiful large 42cm in height this French antique Skeleton wall clock. Glass dome is in great condition with usage marks like a couple of factory faults like bubbles, scratch and a few nibbles, not certain if it is the original to the clock. Some minor loss of black around the wooden base.
The bottom plate looks to have a minor scratch to the rear near the screw on the left, but maybe a signature. See pictures 9 and 10. The big hand has a mm of play and only needs a more securing pin to secure tighter. Dial is in very very good condition. I had to get clock in beat which took a little time but it runs perfect and for sure will need to put it in beat again on arrival. If you do not understand then look to the movie where you hear the clock ticking stronger on one side more than the other and I move the arm/crutch over just a tiny bit to get the clock ticking with an even beat. This clock strikes a bell on the half hour and as many times it is on the full hour. Key wind and working (see movie). 42cm high/ 28cm across/ 16cm depth. Please look to all pictures as this clock is an antique and not new and may show signs of age and wear to be expected with an antique product of this age. A service will ensure the smooth running of your clock for many years to come and is inexpensive. Antique/vintage clocks after transport no matter how well they have been looked after or serviced may require setting up, adjustments and setting into beat when you receive them and i always recommend a professional or an experienced clock person to do this correctly for you. Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go. Do not struggle yourself if you are not familiar with the workings of clocks as you may damage the clock. Please seek professional help with your local clockmaker who can physically show you what to do.Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems as they are tested vigorously before sending, we also show them fully working via our movie footage.
