Classic Antique Sleigh Bells, 13 Graduated Petal Brass Bells On 3.5' Strap

This sleigh bell strap is old and in original condition. My best guess is that it dates to mid 1800's. At 3 1/2 foot it is the perfect size to hang from a door. It was most likely worn as a collar around the horse's neck. There are 13 brass bells total all embossed with a petal design. They rage in size of 1.5" to 2" wide. All have their clappers and together they have a wonderful ring tone. The bells are attached to the leather with a hook and pin type closure and all pins are accounted for. As far as I can tell none of the bells are cracked or damaged.

I did leave the bells in the patina I found them in, if someone preferred they could shine them with brass cleaner. The leather has one tear with a wire repair at the center and this could probably be improved. We did soak it with a leather conditioner and it is fairly supple but it does show its age. One of the two pieces of leather to hold the end of the strap by the buckle is also ripped. Please see all photos to judge condition for yourself & ask if you have any questions.
