Brass Wall Hanging Handmade in India-Bells for Good Luck Vintage

Handmade in India this vintage wall hanging with bells is believed to bring good luck. It is not marked or signed except for the number "120" written in marker on the back of one of the squares. Each square or bell may not be exactly the same size as another because they are handmade.

It was brought to the USA during the 1970's as a representation of the country's craftsmanship and culture. The bells are durable brass.

They were displayed in the estate as a wall hanging. But as I photographed them, I noticed that the ends could hook into each other to make a circle (see last 2 photos). I wonder if they could have been used in Indian folk dances on the ankles, wrists, or waist.

1 1/4 Brass Squares are approx. 1 3/4" X 2 1/8" The item is approx. 40 inches long from end to end. Hook at End is approx.

2 1/4" long and 2 1/8" wide Loop at opposite is approx. This is an estate (pre-owned) item. Item(s) may show normal signs of age and/or wear. Item(s) have not been cleaned or polished by me.
