It was found in a New London, Connecticut estate and is marked Waterbury Jeweled. I believe it may be U.
Navy from the WWII era since the gentleman's father was enlisted during that time period. It is not marked with any Naval insignia. The case is of chrome or nickel plated brass. Including the rim of the case is 5 1/2.
The depth of the clock is 3 7/8. The top of the back rim is bent and split a bit at the top screw hole. Otherwise, I would say this is in excellent condition.
People sometimes make a wooden base for these to display them. The item "ANTIQUE WATERBURY JEWELED CHROME PLATED BRASS SHIP'S CLOCK W SHIPS BELL" is in sale since Monday, December 25, 2017.
