Antique Tode Regency 15-Bell Musical Table Clock, Egyptian Motif London 1815
This beautiful Regency-period, museum-quality musical clock plays 12 selectable airs on 15 music bells. It has a single, larger bell which strikes on the hour. The case is mahogany with brass inlay and brass finials, Egyptian corner motifs and an enamel face. It has Piano-Forte and Strike-Silent levers. There is separate manual operation of the musical bell section which is activated by the tassel pull on the right side. This clock was illustrated on page 166 of the Christmas 1979 issue of "The Music Box" magazine of the Musical Box Society of Great Britain. The clock includes separate documentation provided by the restorer. Case Dimensions: 16W x 33H x 9D inches. Cylinder: 9 3/4 Weight: 50 lbs. The case has a couple areas with very small pieces of incomplete moldings visible by directly comparing the left and right sides, slight lifting of a couple brass inlays and veneer and some chipping around the side openings.
