Antique Swiss Brass Cow Bell C. 1869 Helvetia WV Farm Used

The Antique Swiss Brass Cow Bell from 1869 is a charming collectible piece that hails from Switzerland. It was worn continually by cows owned by the Zumbach family until the early 1950's when my grandfather bought it from the Zumbach Brothers for one of his cows. In the early 1960's the clapper fell off and my grandfather "blacksmithed" a replacement clapper which is what you see. He never put it back on a cow after that.

The bell was a real farm bell in continuous use for almost 100 years. It still has great tone!
