Antique Spanish Colonial Bronze Mission Church Bell New Mexico 18th Century RARE
A rare Spanish Colonial bronze bell out of an old collection and stated to be from a church or pueblo in New Mexico, likely late 18th Century/early 19th century. It has beautiful raised embellishments of floral roundels and images of the Virgin and child, Christ crucified, an IHS symbol, etc. This fantastic piece came out of the same collection as the San Diego Mission bell I have listed, with provenance attached to that one. The bell is in good condition considering age with typical patina to surface, worn details from polishing, small fracture to exterior that did not penetrate the interior, indent to outer rim, etc. Please see all photos for condition. This desirable bell is a fine addition to your colonial collection!
