Antique Handheld School Teacher Brass Desk School Bell #7 on Handle

Lovely collectible from the past - very early and heavy. It was likely a teacher's school bell, used in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This type of bell was used in a one room school house. Sometimes the bells are described as a Crier's bell or Hand-bell. The wooden handle has the number 7 on it.
