Antique Brass Wooden Handled One-of-a-Kind Teacher Art School Bell

Antique Large Brass Hand Held Teacher School Bell Wooden Handle. In original condition and with original clacker. I bought this in 2005 at an antique store in Tappahannock, VA and was told it belonged to a local older lady, a retired teacher, who owned it for 75 years.

I loved seeing it sitting on my desk and thinking about all the children it has called to attention for the start of classes. The bell has a beautiful patina appears to have been painted by the previous owner and the paint has worn away in some places giving it.

One of a kind look and sound. The 7 handle and weight (14.2 ounces) feel good in the hand.
