Recent estate sale find is this: Antique Early 1900's Wooden Handled Brass Bell measuring 8" in length that is inscribed in red lettering on the brass bell " ILLINOIS - LAND OF LINCOLN as shown in our photos. The top of the wooden handle has a brass cap and displays a wonderful rich patina from years of use in a classroom, railroad or other public place. It has rich pleasant ringing sound and will make a terrific antique bell for someone's collection....
