Antique 2 1/2 Steam Whistle Parts Project Base Bell Engine Lunkenheimer Brass

2 1/2'' Steam Whistle Parts. This looks to have been someones unfinished project, the base and bell do not appear to have ever gone together originally. Both parts are unmarked and would make a fairly attractive whistle if put together. The base is in good condition with working valve, someone tried putting a brass pipe fitting into the base in a crude attempt to attach the bell. It doesn't appear that they modified the base casting in their attempt, but I cant be completely sure without removing the fitting.

The bell is in very nice condition with no dings or dents, it is very slightly out of round at the bottom. Its a simple problem that 30 seconds with a tailpipe expander would straighten right out, but still felt it worth mentioning. This would be a fairly simple project for anyone with basic machinist skills or use as parts. If you have any questions please contact me.
