Antique 1930's Brass Sleigh Bells Double Leather Straps Team Horse Horses

Wonderful pair of functional antique sleigh bells for a matched team of two horses. The bells are made of brass, have wonderful tone and are of the petal design with the straight throat. There are 19 petal bells per strap, for a total of 38 bells between the pair.

The bells graduate in size from 0-10, with 10 being the largest bell in the center at 2-1/8" and 0 being the smallest bell at 1-1/8" at each end of spectrum. The bells are securely attached to a 104" long by 1-1/2" wide double leather strap with tooled keeper straps between the petal bells, see pictures 6, 7 and 8. The leather shows no signs of deterioration but could use a good conditioning to soften the leather. I have not conditioned the leather or polished the bells, I will leave this up to their new owner. Nicest matched pair of sleigh bells I have seen in a long time, e.
