Here we have a nice piece of World War Two Italian Navel History. The bell is from the Italian Navy light cruiser, R.

Bell measures 9 1/2 tall by 8 1/4 diam. Weighs in at about 23 pounds and is made of Nickle Plated Brass. This bell has no cracks or breaks of any kind and the bell rings loud and true. See photo's for a better idea of condition. The Filberto Duca was of the fourth group of the Condottieri class ships.

She survived the war but was ceded as war reparations to the Soviet Navy in 1949 and renamed the Kerch then served in the Black Sea until mid 1960s. Participated in the battle of Pinto Stilo. Lead sorties against British Cruisers and bombarded Corfu. Laid mine fields in North Africa, was in first battle of Sirte.
