This is one of a number of 18-19th Century long case clock dials and movements which are from the extensive collection that belonged to the late Eric Morton 1945 - 2019. I know very little about clocks and know little jargon relating to them. Any questions please ask and I will answer them as best I can. All items are for spares - repair only and may have bits missing but I know that some NON clock collectors only want a dial to hang on a wall as a furnishing with their surname or a local place. All are A/F = as found.

SPARES - REPAIR RESTORATION PROJECTS. Or simply take the movement off and hang the brass dial on your wall as a furnishing. This is an antique brass square clock dial with a movement and bell on the back from Jno Huggin, Ashwellthorp. It h as 4 corner cast pierced foliage brass mounts and has a bird pattern engraved in the centre. It has Roman numerals on the dial along with 5-60 around the outside.

The movement and bell on the back are dusty and need a clean. No idea if it is in working condition or not. There may be restoration and quick fixes keeping the movement together. Please see all pictures provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition. The bell sits higher than the top of the brass dial plate.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter. In the title or description it means.
