WWII Era US Navy EW VanDuzen Bronze Ship's Bell Weighs 20 Lbs. Buckeye Bell

This is an estate find in untouched, as found condition. I've not attempted to polish or clean this item in any way, and will leave that to the new owner to do as they see fit. Please see pics, you will receive exactly what is shown. The company was known as EW VanDuzen starting in 1894 and ceased operations in 1950, so this bell is between 76 and 134 years old.

VanDuzen was a documented and confirmed provider of bells for the United States Navy. I have no further information on the history or origin of this bell.

It has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. Very thick brass and it rings with a LOUD, true tone that lingers for many many seconds. It is clearly marked EW Vandeusen on the interior of the bell. You will receive exactly what it shown.

The VanDuzen bell foundry history spans more than a century of American manufacturing, originating in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1837.
