This piece features a classic wide-flared maritime design and appears to be a bell housing or gong shell originally used as part of a shipboard or industrial signaling system. The bell itself is intact, however it does not include a striker or internal clapper, and is not currently functional. Crafted from heavy solid brass, it retains a rich, untouched patina that reflects its age and authentic use. The interior shows discoloration consistent with prior use, while the exterior displays a warm brass tone with natural spotting and oxidation. The bell measures approximately 9 inches in diameter and is fitted with a metal mounting arm, extending the overall length beyond the bell-suggesting it was originally secured to a wall or structure.
Solid brass construction, heavy and well-made. No cracks or structural damage. Natural patina and surface wear throughout. Mounting arm intact and firmly attached.
Overall length extended by mounting arm. A strong, authentic maritime piece-ideal for display, restoration, or integration into a custom nautical installation. Please review all photos carefully for condition details. Be sure to browse my other listings-offering nautical items from A to Z.
