Vintage Bronze/Brass U. S. N. Navy Ship Bell WWII Loud Estate Find

Here we have a vintage U. I say bronze as it has some weight for the size but could be wrong. A magnet did not stick to it.

She says her dad served in WWII and thinks he said that was when this bell was from. There is a piece of wood on the mount with screw but is loose.

There is a nik/chip in metal on top and back where it mounts as seen. For the size this is loud and deep to me. Measures 4 1/2" total height and the bell opening is 4 1/8" wide.
