The Clock & Barometer's Housing and Base is Solid Brass. The Glass in the doors are Beveled and doors are Brass with Solid Hinges. The Clock was taken apart and Oiled.
When you first plug the clock in, the motor makes a little noise for about 5 minutes or so, then you can't hardly hear it, it was Oiled also. The Barometer seems to be working fine and also the Thermometer. The Clock is Very Heavy, 19 LBS.
