Vintage Antique Ships Bronze Bell Brass Clapper with C over W mark

Bronze bell with brass clapper measures 8" across opening x 7" tall to top of nut. Salvaged from a 53' motor sailor built by Frank Jesse in Plymouth, Mass. Destroyed in a storm on the Chesapeake Bay in 1974.

It was owned by the famous WWII pilot. Eddie Fayle, who was pronounced dead two times in WWII but lived to tell his story, just google his name to see his remarkable story. Bell rings load and true and is marked inside with a C and a W on top of each other please see pics.
