Awesome Antique Acorn Style Sleigh Bells Strand from Collector's Stock. We think these may be nickle over brass, but did not want to over clean to check. The leather strap is roughly 8 feet long. Bells are approximately 1.25 wide and tall.

Total weight is a little under 3 pounds. They have a few dings to bells (pardon the pun), but overall a very nice set. There were 60 bells total, but two lost their tops as shown in pictures. These can be replaced of course or possibly fixed if you can find someone with a few stragglers.

There are 7-8 other bells with splits past lip edge in top portion of bells but they seem pretty firmly in place. A few others have smaller splits. Please review all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom if needed. The bells are flat rivet faceted to leather harness as shown in pictures. These are actually two piece bells and have a nice sound as bells ring.

The top of bell is compression lip set over bottom which you can kind of see in pictures. We only quick rubbed one bell top and it quickly shined up, but we did not want to alter them as some like the patina look. It seemed to have more of a nickle than brass look (meaning silver verses gold tones). The leather is in pretty good shape but has some aged cracking. We saw some smaller ones, and many other acorn style strands, but these are very rare.

They are somewhat more delicate than the thicker brass bells and perhaps that is why they are so scarce. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is for Sleigh bells only, not the antique toy horse, it was used for appeal only. The horse is for sale however in our store & they would make a good combo.
