The glass on each is clear and scratch free. The clock keeps excellent time and appropriate chiming, and shows a serial number of 784042, which dates it to the 1970 to 1974 period. The key hanging from the clock back accompanied it when I acquired it, although I can't state with certainty that it is the original key. The barometer readings do appear to change, but I don't know enough about barometers to determine its accuracy.
The barometer serial number is 9 72 4. I've not yet a reference source to help in dating, but the "72" would seem to suggest it is from and acquired at the same time as the clock. Last date of servicing on either the clock or barometer is unknown. Both brass casings need polishing, but show no structural damage. Combined prepacked weight: 10 lb.
