Very unusual and extremely rare, this lovely old clock is believed to date from the mid 1800's and was made in Paris, France. Solid cast brass case in the shape of a bell, decorated with ornate leaves, scrolled lines, and figures. Copper dial with white enamel cartouches and black Roman numerals. Only the number 3 is unfortunately damaged, see photos. Hinged convex glass door with bevelled edge set in decorative brass frame.

Four pretty brass feet Three plain brass bands around the case engraved with Latin inscriptions: DOMINUS VOBISCUM ET AUM SPIRITU TUO (The Lord Be With You And Your Spirit), and PATER NOSTER QUI ES IN CAELIS (Our Father Who Art In Heaven). Hinged circular brass door on back with decorative cut-out design. Eight day French movement of the highest quality marked Coiled gong which strikes the hour and half hour. MEASUREMENTS: HEIGHT : 30 cm-LENGTH : 21 cm- DEEP: 21 cm. With signs of the age see photo please.
