Open every day since August 12, 1892, The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa has become one of the most beloved Denver, CO hotels. Many changes have taken place over the years, but one thing remains constant: the grandeur and grace of one of the city's most elegant hotels. The guest would ring for help, the bell would ring, and a staff person would answer the electric bell and send someone to the room. The bell is encased by a cast Iron box with the following: Edge Design, Scrolled Cartouche within which are the raised letters, The H.

Brown Palace Hotel, " and at the bottom edge, below one ornate cast iron buzzer button cover are the words "To Call Boy, " and below the second buzzer cover are the words "To Ans Call. This call box and bell were salvaged from the Brown Palace Hotel during, most likely, one of the first of many renovations. They are a piece of Denver Colorado's history and of its most famous and beautiful hotel.

It is in original condition with its original cut wires from the salvage with a little very light rust, which can be cleaned off, from many years in storage. Easily cleaned up if desired and most likely usable, if desired.

This one has one push button missing, which could easily be replaced by an old one from a generic door buzzer. There are very few of these to be found anywhere, as they were made specifically for the Brown Palace Hotel with the name on each one. There can be no more of these than the number of rooms in the hotel in existence. Unique, virtually impossible to find, it has a great look and probable function.

Dimensions: 9 3/4 inches tall, 4 1/4 inches wide, and 2 1/4 inches deep. Brown: Henry Cordes Brown, a carpenter-turned-real-estate entrepreneur from Ohio, came to Denver in 1860 after a number of adventures in California, Peru, Nebraska and St. Definitely ONE OF A KIND (except for the one other I have that would make it a pair and which is also for sale).
