Antique Brass Bell Type Steam Whistle. Locomotive/steam Wagon/traction Engine

This listing is for an antique'Bell Type' steam whistle. Possibly dates from the turn of the 20th century. Unfortunately, there are no manufacturers marks present-Apart from a'1' on the lever handle and a unidentified mark (see listing pictures), adjacent to the mounting thread nut flats. 5 1/2 in height (excluding the attachment tread at the base)The treaded portion to attach to the boiler is about 10mm in depth and has a diameter of about 24mm. Due to this whistles fairly small size, i would assume this originated from either a traction engine or steam wagon-However, a small colliery type locomotive would be a possibility.
